refinished, but with a nice even warm surface throughout; the slant front with replaced strip along base, and there are patches around hinges; with some minor patches to some drawer face corners; top three long drawers with locks (bottom most drawer does not show evidence of having a lock), and 2nd from bottom-most drawer missing prongs to internal lock; brasses have been replaced, and there is evidence of a few different pulls over time- the drawer faces with patches holes alongside the current brasses; drawers glide easily and are overall clean; feet are solid, the front left-facing foot with a patch along side facing and with some fill along corner; the front right-facing foot possibly with replaced facings; the underside blocking appears to be old, the back right-facing support possibly replaced; includes two keys; fitted interior in good shape overall, with only minor loss to one element to front of file slide, the same file slide with some inscriptions from a previous owner in 1920; patch to lock slot for slant front; the right-facing side of case with horizontal dark line of staining; left-facing side of case with oval patch to knot in wood
