refinished, with some areas of crackling to varnish; the splat is replaced, with repaired break at upper edge where it meets crestrail; the shoe has been modified, with later elements meant to accommodate narrower splat; the ears have repaired breaks to stile attachments; back left-facing leg with spliced wood element / patch at bottom back edge; the front right-facing leg with repaired breaks, at upper par under knee, and to lower part spliced above foot, this same leg has very dark stain / varnish application which feels rough to the touch; seat frame has some age cracks at front two corners; the front left-facing corner block has been replaced, with evidence of glue reinforcement; the; slip seat appears to be old, and is numbered "I"; seat frame is also numbered "I"; some of the knee returns possibly reattached
