overall stable and sturdy; refinished, but with a nice even surface throughout; the top is two-board, slight bow upward along edges of seam for boards, the top with some visible plugged / filled holes, and the edge with some general subtle wear, occasional age cracks, and a patch near one end of joined boards; the cleats and secure, and likely were moved, with several patched or filled holes to underside of top; birdcage and brass latch function well, and retains key; the base retaining iron or tin spider brace, probably later but appears to have been installed for a while; one leg with old softened loss along top near central shaft, the shaft with repaired break along attachment to same leg, with a couple later tack nails visible; another leg with a few age cracks visible
