with detached / broken element to claw (piece present); painted surface remains vibrant overall, with some signs of wear and some retouching commensurate with use; with some splitting along banner and surrounding eagle head; chip to one banner tip; the back showing large rectangular gouged out area- the wood showing evidence of disintegration, softness, and brittleness, and the back also with some extensive repaired or reinforced splits or losses, likely from use outdoors, much of the voids filled with bondo and/or spray foam; the back of eagle head with two large replaced wood segments
