Turned, reeded posts carved with swagged urn and faceted, turned foot, arched headboard.

H: 88 3/4 in. L: 81 1/2 in. D: 67 3/4 in.

Provenance: Estate of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Wister, Oldwick, New Jersey.

Descended in the Wister family to the present owners. The bedstead was

part of the furnishings in the Wister family ancestral home, Grumblethorpe in Germantown, Philadelphia, now a National Historic Landmark.
